How to add products and edit product information

All Product related information and operations are available in Workspace's Product Management module, which will open in a new window when you select from the top menu:
Products > Products > Products

Steps to add a new product:

  1. First we have to select a product group where we want to add a new product. Browse the product group structure in the Groups Management view and click on a group name to open it. For example here we have selected a root product group called "Productlist". In the next step we create a new product group for the product we are going to add; if you don't need to create a new product group, you can skip to Step 3.

  2. In order to create a new product group, click on the "New" button on the top left corner of Groups Management (see screenshot above) and you will be prompted for a product group name. For example here we have added a new product group called "Software" under the "Productlist" group:

  3. Now we are ready to create a new product, which is accomplished by clicking on the "New" button in Products Managing section (see screenshot above). A Product Card window displaying the newly created product appears:

  4. Add or edit product information in the Product Card window:
    1. select a tab (General, Info texts, Pictures and files, Stock, Options & prices, Open fields)
    2. add or edit field values
    3. click "Accept" or "Cancel" save or abandon changes

    Finally return to Product Management view by closing the Product Card window.

  5. Done: we have successfully added a new product called "Smilehouse Workspace 1.5" and it is now listed in the Product Management window under "Productlist/Software" group.

Steps to edit an existing product:

  1. In Product Management locate the product which you want to edit. Two methods for this are available:
    • Run a keyword search: type search keyword(s) to the search box in the top right corner and click on "Search" button
    • Browse the product group structure in the Groups Management view in the left column and click on a group name to display a list of its products

    When you have found the product, click on the product's "Modify" button to open a Product Card window

  2. Edit data on the Product Card:
    1. select a tab (General, Info texts, Pictures and files, Stock, Options & prices, Open fields)
    2. edit field values
    3. click "Accept" or "Cancel" save or abandon changes

  3. Done: product data editing complete.
