How to get active PayPal merchant account

Sign up process for PayPal

In order to activate your PayPal payment in Workspace, you have to sign up for a PayPal Business Account or Premier Account.
These are the steps you have to complete in order to get active PayPal account:

  • First you need active email account. If you already have Personal PayPal account,
    then you only need to upgrade your current account into Business or Premier Account. Follow the upgrade link on PayPal page.
  • If you dont have an account, then go to the PayPal homepage and sign up. Follow the instructions on
    registration form. Email address you provide during the registration process,
    will be used to log you into PayPal service. Use the same email address in Workspace's PayPal
    administration as PayPal merchant id.
  • Before you will be able to send unlimited funds with your PayPal account, you have to become verified merchant.
    To do that, add active credit or debit card into yor PayPal account.
    This makes you verified PayPal merchant. Currently accepted cards are Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex.
  • Now you have to confirm email address you gave during the registration.
    Go to your email box, open the mail you got from PayPal and click the link PayPal included into email to activate your account.
  • Finally go to Workspace Payment management, add PayPal as active payment into your shop's order form. Also add PayPal Business account or Premier account email address into PayPal administration Merchant's ID field. Check the latest IPN version from PayPal site. Now you're ready to receive PayPal payments.
